The arasta, which is 256 meters long and has 73 arches, is still active and serves the public today. Built during the reign of Sultan Abdulhamid I, the Karaağaç Train Station now serves as the Rectorate Building of Trakya University. Modeled after the Sirkeci Train Station in Istanbul, the architect of the station is Kemalettin Bey.
